Modern Dental Smile PC, doing business as Modern Dental Hub, wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or other assistive technology. This statement describes what we have done, where the site still falls short and how to tell us when something is not working for you.
Our commitment
- We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at level AA.
- Accessibility is part of how the site is built and maintained, not a one-time check. New pages and features are reviewed against the same standard before they are published.
- If a barrier is reported to us, we treat fixing it as a priority and offer the information or service another way in the meantime.
What this website does
- Keyboard navigation: every link, button, menu and form control can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone, and the element with focus is visibly highlighted.
- Text alternatives: images that carry meaning have descriptive text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Contrast: text and interactive elements meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Reduced motion: if your device is set to prefer reduced motion, the site turns off non-essential animation.
- Resizable text: the site uses relative text sizes and keeps working when you zoom to 200 percent or increase your browser's text size, without content being cut off or overlapping.
- Clear structure: pages use a logical heading order and landmarks so that screen-reader users can move around them quickly.
- Forms: every form field has a visible label, and errors are described in text next to the field.
- No overlay widget: we do not use an accessibility overlay or toolbar plug-in. These tools do not fix underlying barriers and can interfere with assistive technology, so we build accessibility into the pages themselves.
Known limitations
- Online booking: the "book online" link opens our appointment request form on a separate page, provided for the practice by its technology provider. If you cannot use it, call (516) 855-6855 and we will book your appointment by phone.
- Directions: the "Directions" links open Google Maps, which is outside our control. Our address is always shown as text on every page, and we are glad to give directions by phone.
- Third-party content in general: where the site links to other companies' services, we cannot guarantee their accessibility, but we will always offer an alternative way to reach us or to get the same information.
